(a) Parody-proof:
(b) PravdaMedia are panicking that the GOP will impeach F. Joe Biden
They are the ones who let this genie out of the bottle. It will be well-nigh impossible to return it. In fact, I suspect that impeachment proceedings will be a feature of every presidency from now on.
And I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden goes on medical retirement (or is Article 25ed) right before the midterms.
(c) It it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck:
(d) Nordstream 1 , Russia’s gas pipeline to Europe, was already shut once for “maintenance”; now for the 2nd time. Coincidence? [Caveat: WION is an Indian channel closely tied to the gov’t.]
(e) So what do British Prime Ministers do after they leave office?
I see some commenters grumble about MPs and the PM getting any salary at all. In fact, a little history lesson: remuneration for the House of Commons was introduced in 1911 precisely so standing for public office would not be limited to the independently wealthy. [CLARIFICATION in response to comment: I meant “limited in practice”, since somebody who needed the income from work to survive and feed their family would not be able to afford, if elected, to go sit in the House full-time and not put any food on the table for 4 years.]
ADDENDUM: “If only I knew how to quit you.” (dialogue from the upcoming movie, “Wokeback Mountain”)
Bed, Bath & Beyond to shutter 150 stores, lay off the staff, after “canceling” MyPillow last year (h/t: Mrs. Arbel).
Um, it’s called the House of COMMONS??
