Iowahawk get serious about hockey sticks

Yes, this is not a satire piece but a very detailed technical post explaining how to reconstruct Mann’s “hockey stick” from scratch — links to data files and (free) software are provided — and how to perform a crude error sensitivity analysis.

As it turns out, the hockey stick is a lot less “robust” than has been claimed. And that’s quite the understatement.
